Welcome to Premier Jiu Jitsu Academy, located in Des Plaines since 2017 and originally known as Gracie Barra Des Plaines. Now in our third location, nestled between Tiki Terrace and Subway at The Oaks Shopping Mall on the northeast corner of Lee and Oakton, our academy stands as a testament to the relentless spirit of Jiu Jitsu.

Founded by Black Belt Professor Tony Lainovic, our academy was born out of a deep passion for Jiu Jitsu. It’s this passion that has attracted a diverse group of individuals, from 4-year-olds taking their first steps on the mat to veterans over 60. Our community includes people from all walks of life - from former athletes to construction workers, educators, plumbers, lawyers, and business owners. Yet, on the mat, we are all equals, bound by our shared commitment to the discipline.
